About the role

GPAC is partnering with a global leader in food processing technology to hire a Maintenance Engineer for its technical applications team in the Minneapolis area. This is a unique opportunity for a maintenance professional who wants to expand beyond plant maintenance and gain exposure to process engineering, customer applications, and advanced food processing equipment. You will support specialized milling and food processing systems used for product development, process optimization, and customer trials. This position offers significant growth potential as the organization looks to develop you into a technical expert capable of advising customers on equipment and process performance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
  • Support equipment setup, changeovers, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Assist with customer trials and product testing initiatives.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment and automated processing systems.
  • Follow SOPs and ensure equipment is properly configured for testing and production activities.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment reliability and process improvements.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and technical teams to support customer success.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Associate degree in Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment layouts.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset and strong communication abilities.
