Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the team at its Tuscola, IL plant. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance plans, optimizing facility and equipment availability, and reducing downtime.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, recommends, and implements equipment repairs of stationary and rotating equipment
• Develops standard new equipment specifications and repair procedures
• Assists in the design, procurement, and installation of new equipment
• Develops plant-wide Standard Maintenance Procedures
• Maintains and updates documentation related to equipment maintenance
• Monitors maintenance projects and progress, ensuring compliance with site regulations and standards
• Supports the implementation and maintenance of the Responsible Care® Management System

Requirements

• Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout/tag-out, hot-work permitting, etc.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Knowledge/background in welding processes preferred
• Basic knowledge of equipment lubrication
• Knowledge of ASME codes
• Bachelor/University degree in an Engineering discipline
• Minimum two years experience in an appropriate manufacturing environment

Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range from $86,500 to $119,000, with an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Comprehensive benefits are also provided on the first day of employment.

This role is full-time and works on-site at the Tuscola, IL plant.
