This is an onsite, full-time permanent opportunity located in Dublin, VA with a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule. Occasional support outside of standard business hours may be required for equipment issues and critical breakdowns.
Responsibilities
- Improve equipment reliability through maintenance engineering, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies for industrial equipment and automated systems.
- Analyze equipment failures, downtime events, and maintenance data to identify trends and improve system performance.
- Maintain equipment documentation, electrical drawings, schematics, and technical records, ensuring updates are completed following modifications.
- Recommend and manage critical spare parts inventories, including identification of obsolete components and replacement strategies.
- Participate in downtime review and emergency work order analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Generate KPI reports and performance metrics using maintenance systems and reporting tools.
- Partner with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Lead and execute reliability improvement projects focused on eliminating recurring equipment failures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and operations teams during equipment breakdowns.
- Develop technical specifications and requirements for new equipment purchases, upgrades, and major repairs.
- Design and implement improvements that reduce equipment vulnerabilities and increase reliability.
- Coordinate maintenance engineering projects, shutdown activities, and condition-based maintenance initiatives.
- Support equipment selection and project teams by ensuring maintainability, reliability, and plant standards are incorporated into new installations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering with significant industrial maintenance experience supporting automation, controls, robotics, and manufacturing systems.
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or electrical systems.
- Knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, reliability improvement, and preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems, controls, automation equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage projects, coordinate stakeholders, and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across maintenance, operations, engineering, facilities, and supplier organizations.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and/or ERP systems.
- Experience using Power BI for reporting, KPI tracking, and trend analysis (preferred).
- Proficiency with CAD software for reviewing and updating electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, controls, robotics, and electrical systems.
- Experience interpreting electrical prints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with maintenance reliability programs and World Class Manufacturing methodologies.
- Background supporting automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading capital projects, equipment upgrades, or lifecycle replacement initiatives.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and condition monitoring techniques.
- Experience working with suppliers and OEM equipment manufacturers to improve reliability.
