Job Description

• Lay out, install, and maintain industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Establish secondary distribution centers, balance loads, and wire complicated circuits.
• Make repairs involving disassembling units and replacing/troubleshooting electrical control circuits.
• Make diagnoses to replace or repair parts and make adjustments.
• Inspect machinery to ensure proper operation.
• Oversee major amounts of work required for each electrical project.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and modify programs.
• Order parts and write reports as needed.
• Perform all minor welding.
• Perform all other skills required of other specialists.

Qualifications

• Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
• Understands national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
• Moderate physical effort; frequently moving lightweight material in difficult work positions.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
• Able and willing to attend school/seminars of specialized trade.
• Able to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
• Moderate physical effort; frequently moving lightweight material in difficult work positions.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Requires 5 years experience in general maintenance with 3 years being Electrical specific.
