Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic

As an industrial electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems, high-voltage machinery, and automated controls.

Responsibilities

• Install wiring, transformers, motors, and high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical faults in heavy machinery to prevent production downtime.
• Conduct routine checks on electrical panels, automated systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Follow national, state, and local electrical codes alongside strict workplace safety rules.
• Diagnose root causes of equipment and system breakdowns using hand tools and test instruments.
• Maintain, clean, lubricate, adjust, and perform scheduled preventive checks on motors, conveyor systems, and pumps.
• Repair malfunctioning devices by disassembling to replace broken gears, bearings, or valves and reassemble them to optimal specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and align new factory equipment or heavy machinery based on blueprints and technical manuals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Journeyman license or strong history working as an electrician.

Skills

• Strong ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Working knowledge of PLCs and automated controls.

Pay

Salary range: $48,594.00 – $69,420.00 USD
