About the role

This person will perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production and facility-related equipment at the Springfield, MN facility. When needed, this person will design and implement new or upgraded equipment controls. This role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Pay Range: $23–28.33/hour

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment and facilities.
  • Promote safe work practices by following company safety policies.
  • Assist in building controls for new equipment, as well as adding or upgrading controls on existing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area and promote company 5S policies.
  • Identify root causes of maintenance downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
  • Order repair parts for maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.
  • Identify critical parts and make recommendations on additional spare parts inventory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician with advanced machine controls and design experience, as well as power distribution systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Advanced training and knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC platform, as well as human machine interfaces (HMI).
  • Working knowledge of National Electric Code.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Excellent decision-making and team motivational skills.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, adversity, and changes.
  • Flexible work schedule to support production and process improvements.

Schedule

  • Full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week.
  • Occasional additional hours may be necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible hours may be required to reach company goals.
