About the role
The role of a Nucor Marion Electrician is to work with the maintenance and operations teams to achieve the safest, most efficient and most cost-effective means of operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading all types of production equipment, which includes motors, drives, cranes, controls and instruments, working on process improvement projects, and providing electrical support to operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade all types of production equipment, including motors, drives, cranes, controls and instruments.
- Work on process improvement projects.
- Provide electrical support to operations.
Requirements
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
- Experience troubleshooting low voltage (
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.
Skills
- Good mechanical knowledge.
