Maintenance Electrician

About the role

The role of a Nucor Marion Electrician is to work with the maintenance and operations teams to achieve the safest, most efficient and most cost-effective means of operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading all types of production equipment, which includes motors, drives, cranes, controls and instruments, working on process improvement projects, and providing electrical support to operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade all types of production equipment, including motors, drives, cranes, controls and instruments.
• Work on process improvement projects.
• Provide electrical support to operations.

Requirements

• Willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory.
• Experience troubleshooting low voltage (
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.

Skills

• Good mechanical knowledge.
