Dexter, the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets, has an opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician (3rd Shift: 10PM - 6AM) at our manufacturing facility in Albion, IN.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical-related problems in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade, including troubleshooting with the ability to repair and/or instruct others on necessary repairs with little to no supervision.
• Perform all essential duties and responsibilities of an Electrical Technician.
• Apply strong Electrical, CNC, and Robotic experience.
• Understand and apply basic electrical formulas applicable to the job.
• Troubleshoot solid-state devices.
• Reprogram ladder logic and effectively use software troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot and repair all major problems with in-house equipment.
• Work overtime to support production needs as required.
• Maintain good attendance, follow all safety policies and procedures, and foster a positive team environment.
• Assume control of the maintenance department in the absence of the supervisor/group leader.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of CNC and robotic systems.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
