Maintenance Electrician - 3rd Shift

Duties & Responsibilities

• Wiring Installation — Conduit, wire descriptions, sizes capacities, AC & DC circuits, troubleshooting, switches, fuses, controls, and relays.
• Motors — installation, repair, troubleshooting of commutators and armatures, and necessary repairs, brush installation.
• Panels and Controls — Wiring of cabinets, relays, shunts and control equipment according to diagrams prepared by Engineering.
• Loading and Lighting — Ballast, incandescent, fluorescent, vapor proof, explosion proof, installation according to engineering specifications, wiring replacement and maintenance and diagnose trouble.
• Generators and Transformers — Install generators and transformers according to engineering specifications, wiring, repair, replacement, and maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

Responsible for keeping the work area clean and returning parts and equipment to designated storage areas. They will be required to complete forms and reports as directed by the supervisor.

Secondary Responsibility

Assist and work directly with the maintenance personnel when special needs arise. The Electrician will perform minor maintenance work which is incidental to the function of the Electrician’s job. Will also be required to maintain lift truck batteries. They may be called upon to help train and/or direct the work of the Electrician Apprentice.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of experience directly related to electrical maintenance.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Experience in AC & DC drive controls including troubleshooting.

Skills

• Must be a team worker, self-motivated, innovative;
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
