Maintenance Electrical Technician (2nd Shift 2pm -10pm)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical equipment problems.
• Perform root-cause analysis to diagnose, repair and implement permanent solutions to equipment failures.
• Perform and direct set-up and adjustments of equipment to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement that reduces operating costs.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills and techniques on packaging equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Manage and maintain electrical parts inventory.
• Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problems and repairs of machines.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement changes.
• Be able to understand PLC Ladder Logic. Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC required.
• Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Able to use basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds up to 40 inches from the floor.
• Able to function with a high degree of manual dexterity to assemble or repair precision equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot using a PLC.
• Able to use a laptop computer for troubleshooting purposes.
• Able to stoop, bend, and climb.
• Able to operate material handling equipment including forklifts.
• Able to push/pull carts that may have loads exceeding 200 pounds.
• Able to read electrical schematics.
