About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for campus operations, providing transparency and high-level reporting to client leadership.
- Partner closely with a dedicated onsite Janitorial Manager who directly oversees all commercial cleaning and janitorial functions, allowing you to focus heavily on engineering, infrastructure, and overall site management.
- Proactively manage vendor contracts (landscaping, elevators, specialized services) to ensure site quality remains showroom-ready.
- Lead a dedicated maintenance team of 8-9 professionals to ensure efficient building performance.
- Conduct facility assessments and propose infrastructure improvements (e.g., HVAC upgrades, site aesthetic improvements) that align with the client’s budget and long-term vision.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Engineering or technical maintenance background (MEP expertise preferred), 5+ years of experience managing facilities and multi-vendor contracts.
- An engineering degree (Electrical/Mechanical preferred) or equivalent high-level technical maintenance experience (e.g., military engineering background).
- You understand MEP systems and the mechanics of a large facility.
- Proactive Communication: You are a seasoned leader who doesn't wait for problems to occur. You identify potential issues and present solutions to stakeholders before they escalate.
- Unwavering Integrity: You are a transparent, honest communicator. You manage budgets and vendor relationships with the highest ethical standards.
- Proven experience managing Class A space or high-traffic commercial environments.

Location/Work Type
Columbia, SC 29210 (On-site at a premier Class A commercial facility).
Schedule
The client operates a Monday-to-Friday schedule; this role will require 24/7 on-call and emergency response readiness.
