Maintenance Director Assistant Director

About the role

The Maintenance Director will oversee the Maintenance department, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Responsibilities

• Make independent decisions when necessary
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety
• Maintain professional relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Manage and operate within budget
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
• Avoid patient evacuations if possible
• Assist in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment
• Manage maintenance staff effectively
• Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years of maintenance experience
• Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances
