Maintenance Department Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervises repairs to facilities, production equipment, and machinery to minimize downtime, ensure timely completion of repairs, and maintain safe working conditions.
• Schedules planned maintenance activities, including preventative and predictive maintenance, major equipment overhauls, and facility and site improvements to reduce equipment failure and downtime.
• Directs computerized maintenance systems to ensure data acquisition and equipment histories are accurate and complete.
• Supervises, trains, and develops department staff to enhance the quantity and quality of employee work.
• Affords assistance in the development of a comprehensive safety program and maintains safety work order records to ensure a safe working environment.
• Recommends, processes, and approves equipment improvements and supervises installation of engineering controls and equipment updates.
• Affords assistance in developing a comprehensive departmental budget to ensure the department stays within budgetary guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Requires one to two years of college or its equivalent.
• Requires five to eight years of experience in technical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Competent knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance programs.
• Good oral and written communication skills and good computer skills.
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Physical Requirements

• General manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work weekends, as required.

Pay

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. The National Target Base Pay Range is $91,000.00 - $151,000.00, while for candidates in California and the New York metro area, the Target Base Pay Range is $101,000.00 - $167,000.00. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills.

The environment for this position varies from clean, climate-controlled offices to manufacturing and warehouse areas.
