Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical Fitter)

About the role

An opportunity has arisen for the post of Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical Fitter) based at Perth Royal Infirmary (x3), with regular travel and work at other sites within Tayside.

Responsibilities

• Act as a fully trained and certificated Mechanical Fitter to provide mechanical maintenance services to meet the needs of the Estate service provision.
• Install, repair, modify and maintain mechanical equipment within all properties of the Organization in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the Organisation.
• Participate in an out of hours on call rota.
• Achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
• Comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.

Requirements

• Recognised and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship.
• HNC/ONC/BTEC Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds 205 Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Part 2 or City and Guild 214 Mechanical Engineering Maintenance Part 2 or equivalent approved qualification.
• In special circumstances, equivalent experience may be considered.
