New Plant Utility Layout & Construction Management

Lead the technical review and document preparation for the electrical and utility systems (water, compressed air, gas, etc.) during the plant construction phase.

Oversee on-site electrical construction progress, quality, and cost control; review shop drawings to ensure compliance with US local codes (e.g., NEC) and Minth Group standards.

Interface with local municipal authorities (power, water, gas) to manage technical requirements and connection schedules, ensuring controllable energy supply timelines.

Organize final inspection and commissioning of electrical systems; archive construction contracts, technical drawings, and quality documents to ensure compliance with government and company regulations.

Equipment Electrical Maintenance System Setup

Establish a predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM) system for new plant electrical equipment; develop equipment inspection, lubrication, and repair work standards.

Participate in the recruitment and training of the local US electrical technical team; establish shift schedules and emergency response procedures.

Plan key spare parts inventory lists; establish safety stock levels to minimize downtime risk.

Automation & Control System Management

Proficient in mainstream PLC systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Rockwell); lead electrical fault diagnosis and program optimization for production equipment.

Collaborate with the ME team on the installation, commissioning, and acceptance of new production lines; issue electrical-related technical documentation.

Safety, Compliance & Energy Management

Lead the development and training of electrical safety procedures (e.g., Energy Isolation, LOTO), ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

Track and analyze new plant production energy consumption; develop energy-saving solutions to reduce operational costs.

Cook with government agencies for inspections and reporting (special equipment, environmental, safety, etc.).

Project & Budget Management

Aid in preparing the annual electrical department budget (CAPEX & OPEX) and monitor execution.

Evaluate and manage external electrical contractors, ensuring work quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of equipment electrical management experience in manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in new plant/new line utility layout and construction (Required).
  • Experience in automotive parts, battery enclosures, or aluminum die-casting preferred.
  • English proficiency required for daily communication with US municipal bodies, suppliers, and local teams.
  • Skilled in CAD or EPLAN electrical drawing software; familiar with PLC programming and HMI systems.
  • Familiar with US NEC, OSHA standards, and local permitting processes.

To Be Successful In This Role

  • PMP certification or a relevant US local electrical license.
  • Full-cycle overseas plant construction experience (from site prep to mass production).
  • Familiarity with the electrical characteristics of energy storage battery box/power battery housing welding and leak testing processes.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset capable of handling the intensity and uncertainty of a new plant construction period.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills to bridge Minth China HQ and the US local team.
  • A high sense of safety and compliance.
