Maintenance Coordinator - 1st Shift

About the role

TekniPlex Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for its Madison, WI facility. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and coordinating the upkeep of equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Document and control the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule with operations and planning teams
• Work in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Issue purchasing orders for maintenance department
• Schedule and coordinate with internal and external vendors for machine repairs, general building maintenance, and cost improvement projects
• Manage spare part inventory
• Be the point of contact for part procurement
• Schedule all related safety inspections for equipment in the facility
• Aid with maintenance projects as needed
• Purchase any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate
• 2+ years in supporting maintenance or production roles
• Coursework in mechanical drawing, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and blueprint reading, advantageous
• Repair work experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in Asset Essentials (CMMS), preferred
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, reaching, and using hands
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Regularly required to use hands for finger, hand, and arm movements
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to adjust focus and taste/olfactory senses

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes, toxic, flammable, or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment
