We are looking for a Maintenance Controller in Teterboro, NJ to safely manage the daily maintenance requirements of the fleet and communicate maintenance-related events and outcomes with internal and external customers.
About the role
This position reports to the Director of Maintenance Control and operates on a 4 on/4 off rotating, 12-hour schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Safely manage daily maintenance requirements of the fleet in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with SOC/OCC, QC, Customer Service, MX Vendors, FBOs, and Flight crews on maintenance events.
- Provide high-level technical support to flight crews and MX vendors.
- Apply and manage fleet MELs (Minimum Equipment Lists).
- Build, schedule, and release fleet maintenance and detailing work orders.
- Ensure accurate and timely data input into maintenance computer programs.
- Convey accurate and timely information to operations for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and delayed aircraft.
- Oversee and manage fleet during maintenance events.
- Release aircraft for RTS (Return to Service) in accordance with company and FAA guidelines.
- Issue Airworthiness Releases and Special Flight Permits.
- Monitor and complete fleet maintenance within governing time limitations.
- Work collaboratively with DOM, Chief Pilots, Managers, Pilots, MX Vendors, OEMs, and auditors.
- Provide detailed shift turnovers and reports to ensure open issues receive appropriate follow-through.
- Serve as an onsite liaison between operations and maintenance vendors.
- Meet incoming aircraft flight crews to discuss observations from incoming flights as required.
- Occasionally serve as a technician on JetSelect aircraft.
- Review work packages to ensure completeness and efficient use of aircraft downtime.
Requirements
- Must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- A&P certificate required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance control, maintenance supervisor, crew chief, avionics lead, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of corporate aircraft or regional airline maintenance experience.
- Specific experience on Citation X, Excel, 560 Series, Challenger 300/350, Challenger 604/605/650, CRJ200, Global 5000VFD/6000VFD, Global 7500, Gulfstream IV/V/450, or G280 highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and task management skills.
- Experience with CAMP, AVTRAK, CMP, JETDOCS, Corridor, EBIS, TRAXXALL, or other maintenance-specific applications is highly desirable.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, second or third shifts, and occasional overtime.
- Must be able to travel for training or other company requirements.
- Must meet company insurance requirements.
Pay
$55.29 - $57.69 hourly.
Schedule
4 on/4 off rotating, 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
