About the role
The Maintenance Controller at Endeavor Air is responsible for overseeing aircraft maintenance, coordinating repairs, and interfacing with various departments to ensure safe and airworthy aircraft. This position requires a deep understanding of the airline's operation and the ability to make timely, informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Timely and economical repair of aircraft using approved procedures
- Avoidance of MEL (Minimum Equipment List) misuse through proper authorization and management of deferred items
- Coordination with the Operations Control Center for aircraft scheduling and modification of the daily maintenance schedule
- Decision-making regarding aircraft safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supporting the Maintenance Department with troubleshooting and repairs at various locations
- Notification of management personnel in case of accidents, incidents, or irregular operations
- Maintaining a working relationship with maintenance personnel
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant certificate
- At least 3-5 years of experience as an aircraft maintenance technician, lead technician, or maintenance supervisor
- Preferred 5+ years of experience
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks requiring attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Valid driver’s license
