This position is based out of Charlestown, Indiana and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
About the Role
Will identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions. Will perform electrical work safely and legally.
- Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules and suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs.
- Actively involved in continuous improvement through the appropriate channels.
- Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms.
- Support production equipment start-up and change-over as required.
- Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-ups.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems; PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to use machining tools and equipment.
- Ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, some machining and welding.
- Understanding of injection machines including auxiliary equipment.
- Dedicated, able to work in an organized and efficient manner.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
