Maintenance Associate II (Facilities)

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, repair, and service industrial HVAC units
• Fabricate chutes, equipment guarding, extruded aluminum, etc.
• Operate standard fabricating equipment such as saws, benders, etc.
• Dismantle machines and perform necessary repairs using hand tools
• Replace broken or defective parts
• Troubleshoot and repair problems
• Install all types of pipes and plumbing
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems/problems
• Bend conduit and pull wire for electrical service (preferred)
• Perform preventative maintenance on all facility machinery
• Climb ladders and work on roofs and outside in all weather conditions
• Maintain good housekeeping and practice safe work habits

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical, conduit, air pipe fabrication, plumbing, HVAC, and vehicle maintenance
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Ability to use a laptop/notebook computer for machine program diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and repair problems with process machinery
• Experience operating standard hand tools and measuring instruments
• Mechanical aptitude, including ability to perform standard shop computations relating to job dimensions
• Ability to accept and act on directions from supervisors
• Welding experience is a plus
• Experience using an end mill, lathe, and other machine shop equipment is a plus
• Electrical experience is a plus
• Experience maintaining plant equipment such as compressors, dryers, generators, forklifts, buildings, water supply, and drain/sewer systems is a plus

• Required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
• Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
