Maintenance Assistant
Title: Maintenance Assistant
Job Duties
- Provides special projects in the maintenance department.
- Carries out planned maintenance programs as directed by the Director of Maintenance and documents as required.
- Expedites repair requisitions on a safety-first, patient-need, priority basis.
- Repairs, replenishes, and refinishes walls, wall coverings, ceilings, and floors.
- Observes mechanical/electrical devices in operations, locates, adjusts, and corrects potential problems.

Qualifications
- A high school graduate/GED preferred.
- At least 2 years in one of the following fields: (a) general maintenance (institution or building), (b) carpentry or facility construction, (c) plumbing and/or electricity, (d) appliance maintenance.
- Must possess the ability to communicate, understand, and carry out directions or instructions, both written and verbal, as well as work independently or on a team.
