Maintenance Assistant (Painter)
About the role
This position primarily focuses on painting repairs for the center including full wall/room painting, touch-up painting, and trim detail painting. This position is offered on a Monday-Friday schedule. Hiring for full-time shifts. Monday - Friday; 8 am - 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Uses rollers and brushes to paint walls, ceilings, trim, and furniture items as assigned by Supervisor
- Properly prepares surfaces for painting by washing, sanding, and/or priming as needed
- Maintains painting equipment in good repair
- Affirms all supplies are cleaned and properly stored
- Manages paint inventory to assure adequate supply for projects
- Affirms paint is properly stored and/or disposed as needed
- Affords assistance in the care of the center's physical plant and grounds
- Performs repairs as directed
- Assists with cleaning and stripping of floors
- Affirms prompt snow and ice removal
- Affords help to assure the maintenance of the physical plant is in proper order
Qualifications
- Requires knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair
- Plumbing and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Requires the ability to receive verbal and written direction
- Requires the ability to be available for “on-call” emergency repairs
