Maintenance Painter

About the role

The Maintenance Painter is responsible for property and facility general painting and paint repairs, unit make-readies to ensure quality standards and appealing grounds keeping. Hands-on position painting while ensuring all safety requirements are consistently met with quality standards delivered.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine painting tasks on community grounds and parking areas
• Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information
• Aids in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks
• Maintain attendance and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy
• Perform maintenance painting of wall, doors, frames, baseboards, ceilings, floors repairs, including texture painting, refinishing, etc.
• Effectively communicate with residents and staff
• Function under general supervision
• Be flexible and have integrity
• Work effectively with residents and staff

Requirements

• High School or GED
• Possess 1 year experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building construction or painting preferred
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
• Have knowledge of knock down and orange peel techniques

Qualifications

• Must possess a working knowledge of residential building painting

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience
