Maintenance Assistant
About the role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and operational.
- Assist in the upkeep of all building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and waste management.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
- Prior maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
