About the role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and functional.
- Assist in the upkeep of all communal areas and resident units.
- Handle routine repairs and maintenance requests.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and building codes.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
- Prior maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications
A fire and passion for working with seniors, a flexible, fun, and energetic personality.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
