About the role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure environmental compliance in accordance with Federal, State and Local ordinance, regulations and building codes. You will assist in the maintenance of the facility to ensure a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition; in good repair, free from hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and healthy living environment for residents and staff.
- Assist in the upkeep of common areas, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Handle emergency situations promptly and follow established protocols.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in maintenance in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
- Prior maintenance experience required.
- Knowledge of commercial laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
