Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be able to carry out duties without close supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
- Highly adaptable; thrives on challenges and excels in new environments
- Time management skills, ability to complete assigned tasks
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Must possess a valid Nevada driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle record check
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Performing repair or general Maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks; both routine and emergency
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Supervise client Pre-Employment Training activities as directed by supervisor
- Cookordinate with outside vendors to ensure that all assigned jobs are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain compliance with the Salvation Army safety codes and OSHA requirements with all buildings and grounds
- Keep all OSHA data sheets up-to-date and complete
- Maintain regular maintenance of all vehicles on campus
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, general appearance and upkeep to all buildings and grounds
- Maintain regular maintenance of all equipment and tools on campus
- Attend all staff meetings
- Other duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms on a continuous basis
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
- The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information
