Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident requests through the established work order program.
• Repairs plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Daily light bulb walk around/inspection to ensure all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Completes room turnovers for move-in's and outs.
• Paints, caulks, and installs appliances.
• Completes daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office areas.
• On-call rotation for maintenance emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred.
• Familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful.
