Maintenance Assistant

Overview

Elderwood at Williamsville is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to ensure the safety and functionality of the living environment for residents. The position requires at least one year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with and performs assigned duties related to electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanics, heating, cooling, and water systems.
• Maintains grounds, parking lots, and driveways, including snow/ice removal.
• Handles incoming and outgoing freight, lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment.
• Observes residents' rights and maintains confidentiality.
• Attends facility meetings, staff meetings, and required inservices.
• Supports the mission, vision, and values of Elderwood.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year of related work experience in fields such as maintenance, carpentry, contracting, etc.
• Current, valid driver's license.
• Participation in facility on-call program.
• Experience operating small hand tools, electric tools, lawn mowers, snowblowers, etc.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
