Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance with basic facility repair of property, equipment and grounds.
• Executes scheduled preventative maintenance on facility equipment except those services performed under service contract with outside contractors.
• Runs errands, handles incoming and outgoing freight, lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment.
• Provides routine inspection of property and equipment and maintains adequate records of work.
• Occasionally performs paid on-call duty for emergencies as needed by Administrator and Maintenance Director.

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D equivalent, technical degree or associate degree preferred but not required.
• Able to learn, follow directions and maintain good attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn, able to follow directions and have good attention to detail.

Skills

• Basic facility repair skills.
• Scheduled preventative maintenance skills.
• Handling of errands and freight.
• Routine inspection and record keeping.
• Emergency response coordination.

Pay
