Responsibilities
- Handle preventive maintenance, perform repairs on fitness equipment, and collaborate with your facilities team and across departments.
- Maintain cross-departmental communication to remain up-to-date on repair and replacement needs in customer-facing spaces and facility infrastructure.
- Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders for both in-house duties and outsourced contractor services.
- Cook out outsourced projects by reviewing pricing and approving contracted jobs.
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance, identifying repair and service needs and prioritize the most critical repairs to minimize disruptions to members wherever possible.
- Assist in performing repairs and maintenance of equipment and maintain the Maintenance Log.
- Maintain an overview of inventory counts and order new equipment and supplies as needed.
- Travel within the market to participate in training sessions, department meetings, and provide support, as needed.
- Chuze Kindness while completing assignments on the gym floor or other member-facing areas.
- Complete administrative tasks promptly, including email management and communication.
Requirements
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience in a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trade or related role.
- Previous experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Proficient mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain fitness facility equipment and systems.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- A team-based mentality with the capacity to receive and deliver feedback.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, with regular ability to visit clubs across the assigned district (subject to ADA accommodation).
Preferences
- Previous experience working with a Building Management System (BMS)/Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) control systems.
- A technical school graduate or attendee.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance when needed.
- Ability to work in a loud environment, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, pool chemicals, cleaning supplies, and grease/oil.
