Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Basic Job Functions
- Maintaining shop work tickets, schedule equipment PM’s, maintaining parts inventories and equipment repair logs.
- Ordering and maintaining of all parts inventories.
- Driving company truck to pick up parts.
- Assign invoices to cost centers and maintaining records of purchases.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- One year experience or more in office administrations, including word processing, Excel and computer data entry required.
- Forklift certification
- High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in purchasing department.
