About the role
Elevate is seeking a Maintenance A to support the plant by performing periodic inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment. This is a night shift position (6pm-6am) on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine failures or issues and make adjustments as needed
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root causes and suggest follow-up actions
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
- Interact with production and other plant teammates professionally
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts, and document work performed
- Comply with safety and environmental protocols
- Locate and follow stock check-out processes for spare parts
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner
- Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Associates degree or 2+ years of vocational training preferred
- Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) preferred
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) preferred
- Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Knowledge of and experience working in mechanical, power transmission, lubrication, hydraulics & pneumatics, electrical, process control, and industrial automation
- Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
- Ability to work in an indoor, dusty, non-air-conditioned, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 65 to 90 degrees
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform duties on an elevated platform
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time for training and data entry purposes
Qualifications
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators
- Ability to work in a twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform duties on an elevated platform
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach, and stoop
- Ability to read, interpret, and utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, P&ID)
- Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test
