Maintenance 1st Shift

A company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician Day shift: Sat-Mon or Fri -Sun 7am-7pm $28-$32/ hourpaid for 40 hours if work 36 hours, over 40 hours a week = OTUnion Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as scheduled in the CMMS.Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical and electrical issues on equipment.Perform machining operations using lathes, mills, drill presses, and band saws.Complete fabrication and assembly projects, including welding and bolted structures.Accurately document maintenance activities and work orders in the CMMS.Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas following 5S standards.Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.Support additional maintenance tasks and projects as assigned.QualificationsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communication and teamwork skills across departments.High attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.Understanding of maintenance operations within a manufacturing setting.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Technical certification or a minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.Technical SkillsBasic math skills for measurements and fabrication.Proficiency using a CMMS for data entry and work order tracking.Ability to troubleshoot equipment using logical problem-solving methods. Forklift (Hilo) operator certification. Scissor lift certification.
