Maintenance 1 - Helper/Custodial

About the role

The Maintenance 1‑Helper performs a variety of light maintenance and janitorial custodial duties for residents, offices, common areas, and the community as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain common areas, resident spaces, restrooms, carpets, and floors.
• Empty trash, collect recycling, and keep community grounds clean and free of debris.
• Complete maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, HVAC filters, batteries, faucets, switches, and other building components.
• Assemble and move furniture, hang pictures and blinds, and assist with community projects.
• Pick up and deliver supplies while keeping tools and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide friendly, timely service to residents while working safely and collaborating with the team.

Requirements

• Up to 1 year of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Attendance at a technical training institute or program preferred.

Pay

$18.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Part‑time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
