Maintenance Worker I Join the City of Maplewood's Public Works team and play a vital role in maintaining the infrastructure and public spaces that residents rely on every day. As a Maintenance Worker I, you will assist with the maintenance, repair, and improvement of city streets, sidewalks, parks, parkways, and municipal facilities, helping keep Maplewood safe, functional, and welcoming for the community. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience operating tools and equipment, performing construction and maintenance tasks, supporting seasonal operations such as snow removal and leaf collection, and responding to weather-related and other emergency events. The role provides a strong foundation for individuals interested in public works, construction, infrastructure maintenance, or municipal service, with opportunities for skill development, training, certification, and career advancement within the department.
