About the role
As a Maintenance Supervisor at Northview Health and Living, you will lead the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation of facilities, oversee daily maintenance activities, perform repairs, and collaborate with staff to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents. The role focuses on quality care and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations, and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment, systems, and grounds to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance requests, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve equipment malfunctions and minimize disruption to resident care.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and planning strategies to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Monitor and control budgeted maintenance costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and customer‑focused service within the maintenance team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience (or equivalent education and training).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to be on‑call.
