Maintainability Engineer Sr
Responsibilities
- Leads maintainability integration for major systems or subsystems.
- Anticipates long term maintenance impacts and drives design modifications early.
- Performs trade studies and influences configuration decisions with engineering leadership.
- Leads MSG 3 analyses for complex systems.
- Optimizes maintenance intervals and drives alignment with reliability data.
- PARTNERS WITH CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO FINALIZE TASK LOGIC FOR MAINTENANCE PLANNING DOCS.
- Develops detailed maintainability models and advanced analyses.
- Interprets results to influence design optimization.
- CORRELATES FORECASTED MAINTENANCE BURDEN WITH OPERATIONAL DATA.
- INTERFACES WITH TEST, MANUFACTURING, AND PROTOTYPE BUILD TEAMS TO RESOLVE ISSUES.
- DRIVES CORRECTIVE ACTION IMPLEMENTATION.
- LEADS CROSS FUNCTIONAL ISSUE RESOLUTION FOR MAINTAINABILITY TOPICS.
- ENSURES MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES ARE USER FRIENDLY AND ALIGNED WITH REAL WORLD OPERATOR NEEDS.
- INTERFACES WITH DER’S/DAR’S AND PREPARES SIGNIFICANT SECTIONS OF CERTIFICATION DOCUMENTS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4 - 7 years of experience in aircraft reliability engineering, maintainability engineering, or a related field, or equivalent A&P Mechanic experience.
- Strong technical background in aircraft systems, maintenance, and reliability engineering.
- Familiarity with FMEA/FMECA, FRACAS, MSG-3, RCM, ZSA.
- Experience supporting CFR (FAR) Part 135 operations.
- Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, reliability testing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change.
