Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer will oversee the functionality and safety of the hotel property, including the physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical system/s, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. They will direct general construction and the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and architectural systems throughout the facility to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

This person must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

Skills

• Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
• Can perform work for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
• Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
• Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
• Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to handle heat and stress
• Able to work in varying weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, etc.
• Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
• Speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
• Have dependable transportation available
• Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
• Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
