Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance activities through the implementation of preventive and ongoing maintenance repair programs for facility, production, and process equipment.
- Coordinate and perform maintenance of building, machinery, and grounds, including procurement of necessary materials.
- Manage or assist with facility renovations, upgrades, and contractor assignments.
- Support environmental requirements, hazardous waste management, and health and safety for the facility, including lockout-tagout, fire sprinkler systems, extinguishers, and forklifts.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 initiatives.
- Make recommendations on building maintenance needs and improvements.
- Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and related equipment.
- Test, maintain, and evaluate electrical equipment.
- Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
- Prepare accurate records for preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Experience: 5+ years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with OSHA Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Experience with industrial plant electrical wiring and code requirements, PLC operation, troubleshooting, and machine mechanical and electrical operation.
Skills
- Familiarity with air compressors, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, welding, electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and heavy manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order notification system.
- Capable of developing standard work instructions for equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
- Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.
- Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.
Pay
Pay Range: $25.44/hr to $44.09/hr
