About the role

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Sr Mainframe Production Support Analyst to join their dedicated team. You will be an integral part of the Mainframe Operations Department supporting critical business functions, requiring strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for mainframe systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues related to DB2, Cobol, CICS, IMS, and other mainframe components.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical problems efficiently.
  • Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and maintenance activities.
  • Document processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with mainframe systems, including DB2, Cobol II, JCL, and utilities such as Sort, Fileaid, and REXX.
  • Knowledge of BMC DB2 Catalog Manager and Application Performance Analyzer.
  • Hands‑on experience with debugging tools such as Intertest and TMONG for CICS and Batch programs.
  • Familiarity with VSAM, utilities, and mainframe scheduling tools like OPC or CA7.
  • Financial services background or prior experience with Merrill Lynch or Bank of America systems is a plus.

Pay

$65‑$67 per hour.

Schedule

Locations: Pennington, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Jacksonville, FL. Hybrid schedule – 3 days onsite per week.
