Mainframe Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Expert to support and maintain enterprise mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, Endevor, and SQL, along with strong expertise in configuration management, release management, and performance optimization. Experience with MQ and middleware technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise mainframe systems using z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, Endevor, and SQL.
• Evaluate and tune complex SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Provide Endevor configuration and release management support.
• Support DB2 tools and utilities.
• Evaluate and optimize IMS, JCL, and other mainframe technologies.
• Work with MQ and middleware technologies as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with z/OS operating system administration and support.
• 7+ years of experience providing Endevor configuration and release management support.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL programming and query optimization.
• 7+ years of experience supporting DB2 tools and utilities.
• Strong experience evaluating and tuning complex SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Experience with CICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with IMS, JCL, Elixir, and other mainframe technologies.
• Familiarity with MQ and middleware technologies is preferred.
