About the role
This position is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the performance of the CICS system on a Mainframe platform.
Responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot CICS transactions and applications
- Manage JCL and other system control statements to ensure optimal system performance
- Support and maintain CICS subsystems, including configuration, tuning, and recovery procedures
- Perform system performance analysis and implement necessary changes to improve system efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues related to CICS and Mainframe systems
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in Mainframe Support and production operations
- Strong hands-on experience with JCL and Mainframe Operating Systems (z/OS)
- Experience with CICS system administration and support
- Familiarity with TSO/ISPF utilities, datasets, and mainframe tools
- Experience with system performance monitoring and tuning
- Understanding of mainframe security frameworks (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of Mainframe Operating Systems (z/OS)
- Experience with CICS system administration and support
- Knowledge of TSO/ISPF utilities, datasets, and mainframe tools
- Experience with system performance monitoring and tuning
- Understanding of mainframe security frameworks (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Skills
- Experience with COBOL and CICS transaction processing
- Knowledge of DB2 for z/OS or IMS databases
- Experience with mainframe modernization or cloud integration efforts
- Experience with automation and scripting in mainframe environments
- Familiarity with Workload Manager (WLM) and capacity planning
