About the role
The Detroit Lakes Tribune, founded in 1872, is part of Forum Communications Company, a 5th-generation family-owned media company with over 20 publications and a reach of more than 5 million readers monthly. This role supports mailroom operations by assembling and preparing printed materials for distribution.
Responsibilities
- Place/stack bundled mail on pallets.
- Operate electric floor jack to move skids.
- Feed strapping, plastic wrap, and bottom wrap machines.
- Absorb mailroom equipment before production runs.
- Load various feed stations; occasionally hand feed.
- Palletize products as they run off the machines.
- Occasionally responsible for housekeeping duties.
- Abide by all OSHA regulations and the lockout/tagout program, as well as other established company safety policies.
Requirements
- Mechanical skills and computer knowledge are preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
- Ability to maintain prompt and reliable attendance.
Skills
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Computer literacy.

Pay
$18.15 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
