Mailer Trainee (Full-Time)

About the role

The Albany Times Union is seeking a full-time employee in its Packaging Facility. Positions are union-based, starting at $18.00 per hour with potential for annual wage increases.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment to package products according to established procedures.
• Ensure product quality and safety standards are met.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production progress and address issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar packaging or production environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Skills

Pay

Schedule

• Weekday Shifts: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 36.25 hours per week.
• Saturday Shifts: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, 36.25 hours per week.
