About the Role
The GOALS Success Through Service project strengthens GOALS’ long-term capacity to reduce poverty-related barriers that limit low-income and at-risk students’ access to high-quality physical education, wellness, STEM-connected learning, and afterschool enrichment opportunities. Through the Magnolia Science Academy partnership and related school-community relationships, the AmeriCorps VISTA will develop, pilot, evaluate, and transfer sustainable systems for partnership development, educational grant and sponsorship development, program planning, stakeholder engagement, evaluation, and organizational transition.
Responsibilities
- Assess GOALS’ current Magnolia Science Academy relationship and identify opportunities for growth.
- Research prospective schools and partners, create outreach resources, meeting tools, and agreement templates, and build a partnership tracking system.
- Develop funding and resource-development tools, including grant and sponsorship calendars, proposal resources, and in-kind support planning.
- Create evaluation, reporting, sustainability, and transition tools so GOALS staff can continue the work after the service term.
