Magnolia Building Maint Tech

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• Maintain plant facilities to include restrooms
• Provide scheduled maintenance repairs, inspections and audits of building maintenance equipment and maintain records as required
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of building maintenance equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required equipment service
• Aid other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order
• Inform appropriate management and maintenance/production associates of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
• Aid other maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting

Requirements

• Show a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the Milliken Safety Process
• Service and maintain the plants fire systems to include but not limited to sprinkler systems, fire pumps, FM200, and dry powered suppression systems and devises
• Work with outside contractors and to learn and use the outside contractor permitting processes

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Industrial plumbing
• Industrial fan maintenance
• Plant chiller and cooling tower maintenance
• Fire suppression systems
• Fire alarm systems and testing
• Knowledge of HVAC filter changes
• Plant drainage systems
• Knowledge of confined space procedures
• Roof Inspections and maintenance
• Fabrication and Carpentry skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Able to work well with various groups of people such as vendors, customers, Milliken associates whether individually or in a team environment
• Able to work well and communicate with production associates in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
• Able to lift and move objects of 50 pounds and be capable of using motorized equipment (fork trucks, tuggers, scissor lift and articulating boom lift, etc.)
• Able to work from heights

Pay

Pay Rate: $22.55 - $25.02 per hour
