Machinist (Plant) I

Job Summary

The Plant Machinist supports the tool and die needs of the production and maintenance departments. The normal work week is approximately 50 hours if business demands require overtime. In addition, weekends are scheduled as needed based on production demands. In addition to the following, other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machine tools to produce precision parts
• Maintain and repair machine tools as needed
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist in the setup and operation of new equipment as required
• Perform quality control inspections on produced parts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in machining or tool and die making
• Knowledge of machine shop practices and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency in using common machine tools and equipment

Pay

Schedule

Monday through Friday, typically 8am - 4pm, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
