Machinist (Plant) I

About the role

The Plant Machinist supports the tool and die needs of the production and maintenance departments. The normal work week is approximately 50 hours if business demands require overtime. In addition, weekends are scheduled as needed based on production demands.

Responsibilities

• Operate various machine tools to produce precision parts and components
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate part fabrication
• Perform setup and adjustments on machines to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
• May assist in the repair and maintenance of existing machinery

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in machining or tool and die making
• Proficiency with common machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
