Ingersoll Rand is an equal opportunity employer. We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Follow Standard Work for machine setup, running parts, and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations or operate additional equipment.
- Update and maintain visual controls.
- Support countermeasures and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving.
- Operate and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Identify and report equipment abnormalities.
- Adhere to company safety procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ (two) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ (two) or more years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator/Machinist.
- 2+ (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to convert between metric and US standard units of measure.
- Ability to use standard problem-solving methods (ie. 5 Whys) as trained.
- Ability to effectively use tools such as the following: depth gages, bore gages, height gages, feeler gages, micrometers, calipers, deburring tools, die grinders, drill presses, overhead lifting equipment, etc.
- Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisor, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Preferences
- HS Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with CNC Machines (Okuma, Moriseiki, Mazak, Haas, Makino, or Fanuc), Mills, and Lathes.
- Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machining work centers, specializing in tool changes and in-process offset adjustments.
